"Captain Abu Raed" Jordan's offical submission to the Oscars
Jordan has officially chosen "Captain Abu Raed" as its first submission to the foreign film category at the Oscars. This is really exciting for all of us who worked hard on making this film a reality. Wish us luck and keep those fingers crossed.

WOOOWW!!! Congrats!!
I think we need to elaborate on this submission so as not to leave readers with the impression that this is some sort of a highly competitive and complex process. Basically, every government on earth is entitled to submit a film to the Oscars, not matter how good or bad is the film. It's when the film makes it to the list of 5 finalists and wins the title Oscar-nominated that it really matters. Still, I wish Captain Abu Raed luck. Would be a fantastic thing if Jordan makes it to the nominations. I just don't know if we can deal with Amin Matalqa's ego. Maybe he will tell us he invented Jordanian cinema, then.
